Land of Freedom!

Brrrrrrr!! This would easily be the first syllable that most often escapes from me, every time I step into the cold breeze that keeps reminding you every second, that you are in a different continent. Kinda makes you resolved to brace yourself for all the weathering that you might encounter in the day :D!

Life goes on, despite all the upheavals you face. No better place to spend in reticence than here, where no one bothers what you do, except your manager of course :P.

Few things make me feel bright about life though. First of them being, my self earned sense of freedom and respect for myself. Have always wanted to be totally independent and away from the binds of home and get around a bit. Has happened at last. Dreams do materialize. Gives me hope.

Secondly, good company makes this phase of my life even more worthwhile. Its nice to get to know people, with whatever limited communication I do. But guess have opened up a lot more than I used to be and that makes prospects better :D . Still trust does not come easily. But enjoying whatever life has got to offer me.

Though money was the only thing that was on my mind untill I came here, I find a point everyday to appreciate this Country for more than just the dollars it is giving me.

What I like the most about this country is the discipline and sense of responsibility every citizen has towards their society. I can see here in real life, what they mean when they say, "With Freedom comes Great Responsibility". Nobody stares at you even if you wear your hair like a weaver bird's nest. For all you know you might be setting a trend! That should leave you wondering if you are part of a forgotten community, but no, that's not the reason. Its just that people respect your individuality more, than going with the group thinking which is so much a disease with us.

Every person knows what he does and if he does not, he does not do it. That makes things simpler and adds purpose to every activity done. The structure is very simple, in everything, though it comes with the risk of making the contents of your c(rust) :D, nevertheless making life easier. But all the same America has the most number of scientists whose inventions have enlightened our lives with many a bulbs!

Tolerance is something that we should learn from these people. Here we are eating their opportunities, but definitely at a large scale leaving them more to gain, but still a sore in the eye of an average American. No wonder Indians here waddle together like penguins as someone observed today in our own colony, more out of fear than any kind of kinship.

What with the Afro-Americans, its the Desi-American crowd that these people are getting to learn to tolerate now. Now that's the kind of globalization I like! Tolerance! Which we still have not learnt in our country even amongst our own states!
The community welfare attitude gives you a sense of security which we can only dream of in India and would be dismissed as Utopian dream even if suggested. Roots might seem to be like the selfish attitude of our community superficially. However, if we dig further it could be because of the depths of spiritual knowledge we have inherited over the thousands of years of civilization to which we belong, which makes us think materialistic gains are not for us and lets us be happy with what we have, never making us stretch for the kind of dominance which the USA tries to achieve all the time.

Ok..guess I have rambled enough and long enough to keep you all bored and to come to a point where you start wondering what is the moral of the story, huh? :)) Duh..nothing much. Just my rants and babbles. :D feel free to spare me a couple of eggs :P
